In light of my introductory post, I figured we could safely omit ISO 1600 since there are no measurable differences between the D700 and the A900 in the noise dept.
In fact... I would have no problems admitting that the A900 out-resolves the D700 in resolution and contrast detail. Whether this is the result of less destructive NR processing(though both off), or.. simply the results of the added MP and DR coming through I do not know, however, the results are observable nonetheless.
Here we have a side by side ISO 3200 samples with decent shadow curves from both the D700 and A900. I did not label them because I would be curious to see who can identify which is which. Whatever, the case, the differences between the two samples are negligible and even finer in print. Either way... I would say the A900 is holding up very well against the D700 at ISO3200.
* Please keep in mind that both files have been converted to JPG for storage and so there are quality losses as well... However, if anyone wants to see the uncompressed TIFF samples, I can post them as well.

A900 ger alltså en 12MP hög iso kameran samt en riktigt bra låg ISO kamera i ett! Fast det kräver lite pill, vilket PJ fotografer inte har tid med ....
