Straight 1171 / Jag gillar Zeiss Biogon 2/35, det är en "very impressive little lens".

Som några initierade säkert har märkt så har jag ett "piratobjektiv" på min M Leica, igen!  Jag har nästan alltid haft pirater på mina Leicor, till många renläriga konformisters undran, och kanske förtvivlan!? ;)
"Han har väl inte råd med äkta Leica-optik!"


Men vad gäller pirater, så va min första pirat ett Canon 1;8/35 mm, och det använder jag fortfarande då och då! Och nu är det ett Zeiss Biogon 2/35 mm! Och varför har jag köpt det, tja, därför!  :)
Eller så va det därför jag "sprang på" objektivet! :)

Så nu har jag det, och jag är nöjd!  Staffan Johansson säger att det är bättre än min Summicron 2/35 IV. Det hade jag nog själv inte märkt faktiskt! :)
Jag ser sällan sån't där! Skärpa och bokeh å sån'a finesser alltså!
Tycker optiken bara tar bra bilder liksom!

"Zeiss 35/2.0 Biogon ­ This is a very impressive little lens.  Wide open, it’s not as sharp on center as the Leica 35/1.4 is at F/2 or even at F/1.4 but its performance in the outer zones, even wide open, is truly exceptional, better than any other 35mm lens in the test..  Micro-contrast is a little lower than that of the Leica 35/1.4.  This is one of those lenses that made me pause and just stare for a moment when I first opened the files in Photoshop.  Like the two Leica F/1.4 lenses, it has a beautiful way of rendering both in and out of focus areas.  It is a great lens, although like the Leica 35/1.4 it does have a slight tendency to overexpose the highlights in contrasty light.  I’m sure that many are curious as to how the 35 Biogon compares to the Leica 35/2.0 ASPH but unfortunately, I didn’t have one of the latter on hand to compare with.  The Zeiss draws differently than the Leica 35/1.4 but is equally worthy of consideration for photographers who don’t need the extra aperture speed of the 35/1.4.  The Zeiss is also less than half the price of the Leica."

Biogonen är fin, men den bör nog jämföras med summicronen och inte summiluxen. Oavsett är den nog onödigt skarp och har onödigt lite distorsion. ;)

"Biogon-T 2/35 ZM
This is a nine-element lens in six groups. At full aperture there is a fair amount of coma, but hardly any curvature of field. The coma does reduce the overall contrast quite visible. At f/4 coma is gone completely and the lens from there is an outstanding performer. Compared to the Summicron-M 2/35 ASPH the ZM has better curvature of field, but less contrast and crisp definition wide open. Performance on axis is equal between both lenses. This Biogon is a bit overstretched as a high-speed design. The design itself does not support high-speed lenses and it would have been better if the marketing people of Zeiss had restricted themselves to an aperture of 2.8.
The original 35mm lens for the Contarex has an aperture of 4 and was already at that aperture almost diffraction limited. Had this lens been a 2.8 design, it would have much better performance. Stopped down as it is now the performance from aperture 4 is beyond reproach, but at wider apertures it is at the level of the fourth generation of the Leica Summicron 35 lens."

Om du har möjlighet, prova även lillasyster 35/2,8 C-Biogon. Ganska mycket mindre och ”bättre” vid alla bländaröppningar utom f/2 som ju inte finns;-) Mitt står i bokhyllan utan kamera, inför den dag då någon släpper en kamera som gör det rättvisa. Kan i och för sig sätta det på Leica CL-huset och höfta utsnittet:-)
