En sammanfattning (gäller ett visst testfall - se tråden):
"Before presenting the details, here are a few significant and surprising findings that I would like to reveal:
1. Firmware 2.00 brings significant speed improvements across all focus modes. Way to go, Nikon! (Again, let me emphasize that only the static-subject case was assessed.)
2. There are sometimes additional delays when the camera decides to perform some re-focusing just before releasing the shutter (especially with AF-S using a single AF area). The occurrence of this type of delay has been significantly reduced with f/w 2.00.
3. Continuous AF will get the shot faster than Single AF - surprise! If your concern is for fast focus acquisition, use AF-C.
4. Fastest mode is dynamic area AF - surprise again - it beats single-area!
5. In spite of the additional sensors now used for focus acquisition in the dynamic area modes, f/w 2.00 achieves a speed improvement. Also, there is *no* speed penalty if the selected AF sensor has no focusable detail, and the surrounding sensors are used instead. This is contrary to my expectations and disproves an assumption that I had made in my original posting."
D700 skall ju ha denna version av mjukvaran från start och D300 borde rimligtvis få den snart.
