I och med nikons d3 ff som iofs inte har så många pixlar som 1dsmk3 men är snabbare så har det ganska direkt dykt upp en ff konkurrent till canon. Det är inte allt för svårt att ta för givet att sony med kommer med ff..
Priset på dryga 5000 euro får väl ses som både dyrt och billigt beroende på om man väljer att se det som en konkurrent till 1d eller 1ds.
att man bara får 5mpix i dx läget var ju mindre exalterande däremot.

Jag gissar på att d300 kommer kosta runt 18000 frågan är om jag har rätt, och om man då kan räkna den som konkurent till 40d för 12000?

Tycker inte man kan se d300 som en konurrent till 40D, D200 kommer att finnnas kvar så där är väl forfarande en mer jämlik kämpe, men sedan berpr det ju lite på vad man se till. Ergonomiskt tror jag forfarande inte D200 och 40D spelar på samma plan, HELA D200 äör ju trots allt vädertäad. Bildmtekniskt har kanske 40D har en del mer att erbjuda förståss men vi vet ännu inget om brusnivåer eller DR hos D300 så det är svårt att säga.
Måste säga att jag aldtig var eller är riktigt sugen på D200 trots dess ergonomi, specen övertäffade inte D80 tillräckligt mycket för mina krav. Däremot gör D300 det, denna suktar jag efter. Hoppas att den nya bildprocessorn gör susen.

Nikon Introduces CMOS D3

MELVILLE, N.Y. (AUGUST 23, 2007) -- Nikon today introduced the D3 a 12.1 effective megapixel digital camera featuring Nikon's new FX-format CMOS sensor.
Designed with sports photographers and photojournalists in mind, the Nikon D3 introduces new features and technologies that make it the most sophisticated and advanced Nikon digital SLR to date. In addition to the new FX-format CMOS sensor, the D3 incorporates Nikon’s new EXPEED Image Processing System that is central to the blazing speed and processing power needed for many of the D3’s new features.
By setting the camera to its built-in options of Lo-1 or Hi-2, the ISO range of the camera can be expanded to the equivalent of ISO 100 or ISO 25,600 respectively, offering unmatched versatility in practically any shooting situation.
The D3 also features an entirely new 51-point auto focus system with Nikon’s 3D Focus Tracking feature and two new LiveView shooting modes that allow photographers to frame a photograph using the camera’s high-resolution LCD monitor.
Nikon will offer the D3 (body only) at an MSRP of $4,999 in November. We at Steve's look forward to reviewing the camera and giving a full report.

Om man räknar med att man köper sin d300 i USA så blir priset inkl amerikansk sales tax någonstanns mellan 13000-13500(D3 = 37000
.
Har man bekanta i USA eller själv har vägarna förbi B&H i New York så vore detta ett ypperligt tillfälle att införskaffa sig en.
Om man däremot får den med frakt från USA så läggs Svensk moms på, och då hamnar slutpriset på ca. 16000 (D3 = 46000. Om man vill få den med posten så gäller det att hitta någon som skickar den som gåva eller liknande för att slippa svensk moms.

Brukar det inte vara rek-priser som anges?
Hur som helst är D300 prissatt bara en gnutta högre än D200 initiellt var. Skall vi gissa på att den hamnar på 16995kr på Scandinavian och Cyber?
Och jo, det vill nog till att 40D ligger några tusingar lägre, för det är precis som du säger: detta är Allsvenskan mot Divison 2.

No ordinary Live View either as this one supports Auto Focus in two ways; using the current 'normal' mirror-drop / mirror-raise but also contrast detect in the same way as a compact camera (although slower). The D300 will be available in November, at around US$1800.

TYcker priset låtter rätt bra för en sådan funktionsrik kamera. Nu återstår det bara att se vad den kan prestera bildmässigt. Prismässigt kryper den ju lite närmare Canons 5D som förvisso har FF men som inte är vädertätad eller lika snabb som D300. Hmm, måste nog ta mig en funderar över vad det är för kamera jag egentligen behöver.
Maverick, jag kanske missuppfattade dig men personligen tycker jag inte det går att jämföra D200 och 5D, det är ju helt olika kameror.
