Persongalleriet #393: Istanbul Continued
I feel I'm a bit backlogged with my so called 'live' reporting from this great city. But I'll start off with some more pictures from the 10th of April 2015, which was my day with Alphan Yilmazmaden.
We had a lot of çay breaks! :-)
Alphan at work!
Happy Trash Man.
We visited some mosques.
And even more çay. Even tough this çay isn't ours.
Covered Hair.
By the Tram Line.
We had a special street photo challenge in these crowded alleys north and downhill from the Grand Bazaar.
Sunflower.
Maybe close-ups were the best choice in that environment.
My report from this lovely day will be continued at a later date!

Persongalleriet #392: Spontaneous Photoshoot in the Grand Bazaar
Istanbul, April 9th 2015.
The guys in the first picture saw my camera as I was walking by. They asked me to shoot them and I did. Then another guy asked....and another and another..... It was actually a lot of fun! And I got a cup of tea!
That's my tea right there! :-)
That's it folks!

Persongalleriet #391: The First 7 Minutes
Istanbul, April 10th 2015.
Yesterday I was fortunate enough to meet the wonderful Mr Alphan Yilmazmaden, a great Turkish street photographer. He came to my hotel at 10 o'clock in the morning and we set out on a magical nine hour photo walk. These pictures are from the first seven minutes of those nine hours, taken in close vicinity of my hotel in a district with a lot of shoe stores. It seems a lot of new merchandise had arrived everywhere and since the shops were too small for the unpacking, they used the streets.
That's it for now!

Persongalleriet #390: Sirkeci Train Station
Istanbul, April 9th 2015.
Found a train station during my ramblings 'round the city in the rain. And if you're cold and wet you could always go inside....
...but if you have a funny hat-umbrella you won't be wet! :-)
There are trains here!
And an Orient Express restaurant!
And cats watching over the Istanbul Metro map.
And cats just sleeping.
And, of course, people waiting for their trains!
Bye, for now!

Persongalleriet #389: Istanbul in the Rain
It was really, cold, wet and windy on the streets of Istanbul today! At lunchtime, the damp was down to my underwear, which was when I gave up for the day. I was freezing! But before that it was amazing! Found some really steep, rugged, backstreets near my hotel which gave me a lot of opportunities. I hope it shows, at least in some of the shots!
You'd better hold on to that cheap crumbling umbrella!
Please enlarge to see how much it's raining!
As long as your hair is dry!
That's it, folks!
