Jag säger inte att ett sätt är rätt och andra fel men det du beskriver gör Lightroom för mig vid varje import oavsett vilken kamera jag använt och importen öppnas automatiskt när jag sätter ett SD kort i datorns kortläsare.

Konfigureras i egenskaperna för import

Det är ju jättebra då - men jag använder inte Lightroom, vilket gör att det inte är aktuellt för mig.

Suck...!
Problem med Canon EOS Utiility 3 (3.11.1) och Mac OS Catalina 10.15.2...Så jag kan ju inte ladda ner mina bilder från min Canon 5D MK III...Apple eller Canon borde nu fixa detta med allra högsta prioritet...Jag vill ju se och jobba med mina bilder... skittrist!

macOS 10.15.2 was released by Apple on December 11, 2019. Following operation checks performed with this version at Canon, we have confirmed a USB connection issue with “EOS Utility 3.11.1 for Mac OS X” and "Picture Style File Registration Tool 1.0.0 for Mac OS X" whereby the functions enabled by connecting a camera and a Mac device via USB cannot be used.
This issue does not occur on macOS 10.15.0/10.15.1. We are currently preparing to release versions of these applications that incorporate a fix for this issue.
For EOS cameras with Wi-Fi functionality, the camera can be remotely operated from EOS Utility via a Wi-Fi connection with the Mac computer.
For more details, please refer to the respective camera's user manual.

Använd kortläsare istället.

Dom flesta som argumenterar för kortläsare har missat hela poängen.

Det handlar inte om kortläsare eller inte utan vilket program man vill importera sina bilder med. Vill man använda Lightroom eller Capture One fungerar det bra med kortläsare. Vill man inte använda nåt av dom programmen så är EOS Utility enklast att använda.
