Watch out in the next few weeks as Sony roll out Alpha Pro at selected dealers (at least in Europe, my guess would be worldwide) with superb point of sale displays showing the new Alpha Pro and new full frame CZ lenses.
And in the UK, watch Jessop prices on the A200 kit carefully this week. See the A200 repositioned to compete head-on with the Nikon D40 and undercutting Canon's entry level substantially.
Things have been very busy behind the scenes at Sony Alpha (wondered why they had been so quiet) and I sense some real optimism from Sony dealers who are committing themselves to the 2008 summer offensive on the market. And, if Sony ever was hesitant about using the word Pro to describe anything they made because they felt it might raise expectations unduly, seems they are just about to forget that reticence. After all, if Canon could call their top consumer bridge camera 'Pro' Sony can call their top Alpha 'Pro' - and brand the entire system which goes with it, CZ and G lenses, Pro into the bargain.

And my 70-300mm SSM arrives on Monday...
