Sorry but I have to take this one in english. Last week I was to Pink’s concert (Sundsvalls Gatufest) and since I am not with the press I had to be as close as possible and take some pictures which was extremely difficult among all the teenagers around me, then all of the sudden one of the security people tells me: “you cannot take any pictures” so I asked why not?, so then he says “not with that camera” (Nikon D70) and because some deal with Pink’s manager so then I didn’t take any more pictures but never was I asked to leave nor was I forced to erase the pictures already taken (probably not very good). So the question is, can I use those pictures??? (say, maybe post here in FS) without getting in some kind of legal trouble??

Thanks.

Yeah i guess u can use them, they allowed others to take pictures with compacts right?
If they had taken your camera or forced u to erase the pics u can legally charge them.
I say use the pics!
:)

I think I have read here on the forum that if you were on the consert company property (if they own or have rented the place) they have the right to refuse you to take any pictures.

Yeh, they have the right to refuse you taking any more pictures. But the pictures already taken are yours and the can't do anything to stop you. It is even more obvious when it was allowed using compact cameras but not a DSLR.

Strange rule... what can one do with a DSLR that can´t be done with a compact? And afterwards, if you publish your pictures no one can see if they were taken with a "legal" camera or not...

They have to state that it is forbidden to take any pictures on the ticket. Then they can refuse you to use your equipment! - maybe...

This is a hard subject and I would like you to contact one of the organisations for photographers. Even if you are not a member they probably can give you a good advise.

Regards
PL
