Right now, I'm on a trip to the Algarve for the annual training camp with the sports school where I work.   Today was rest day for the athletes, so I made time for a two hour photo walk, documenting the small tourist town near the Spanish border in its off season state. I didn't expect to do much street photography since I thought very few people would be about. But I did find some at least.

Persongalleriet #775: Nashville del 2

22-25/10 2015.
Resan till USA hösten 2015 gjorde jag tillsammans med jobbarkompisarna Hans och Janne. Här är dom i Nashville i ett trevligt ljus jag hittade:

Persongalleriet #772: Booked a trip to Istanbul!

I now have flights and a hotel room reserved for the March school holiday. It will be my third trip to Istanbul. On the previous occasions I have traveled by myself, but this time I will bring my son Sam! In 2015 and 2016 I mostly did street photography and not much tourism, but now that I have Sam's company the plan is to see some of the big sights. Of course, streeting is still high on my agenda and I hope to do some with my great friends Canan and Alphan!  Today I'll show some colour photos from April 13th, 2015, my first day with Canan.

Persongalleriet #771: Malaga, sjunde januari

För precis ett år sedan unnade jag mig själv en resa med lite sol och värme, konstmuséer och spanska delikatesser. Och så förstås lite tid för foto. Tog det lite lugnare än jag brukar på mina renodlade gatufotoresor och tog mig tid att sola på hotellets terrass och på piren vid strandpromenaden. Och skippade en en hel massa bildbehandling i ett mörkt hotellrum för att hålla igång bloggen. I stället bestämde jag mig för att spara bilderna minst ett helt år för att låta dem mogna och för att försöka minska min känslomässiga koppling till fototillfället, snarare än till själva bilden. Nu har alltså det året gått och här kommer några bilder!  :-)

Persongalleriet #770: Notting Hill Carnival, part 10

Time for my first blog entry of 2018 and it's also the last one from the Notting Hill Carnival, which took place on August 27th last year. It was a hot day and lots of fluids were necessary:

We kept the small group together for a while...

...but an hour into the streeting, both Peter and Jan were lost in the crowd.

Everybody seemed to be aware of the need to keep the fluids level in check!  ;-)

Eventually, Jan called me and we met up before going to the Street Photography Festival in the evening. Peter was not answering his phone, though...

We just needed some more of those precious fluids first!
