Persongalleriet #511: Blind Mississippi Morris Live in Memphis, Tn

Today, I'll continue with our first day in Memphis, October 17th. After the memorable lunch at The Blues City Café, we went back to the motel for a bit of rest. The manager at Blues City Café had told us during lunch that a pretty great musician was going to play at the café at 5 pm. Sales talk, we thought, as the sceptical Swedes we are, but somehow we ended up back at the BCC at a quarter past five. And, boy, was it worth it! We got almost 4 amazing hours of music from the wonderful Blind Mississippi Morris and his band! What a great start to our trip!

Blind Mississippi Morris sits under the sign with his harmonica.

The bass player on the left is Albert King Jr, son of the legendary blues man Albert King.

Audience at the bar.

Rebel Spirit.

My buddy Hans and an interesting sign!

During intermission the guitar player wanted to have a word with my other buddy Janne.

The waiter also wanted to have a word with Janne.

Back out on Beale Street after the show.

Here are some youtube clips of the man himself, Blind Mississippi Morris:

And here's the video I shot myself:

Be well, everybody!

Great shots of a very nice environment, it seems. Really like the the 2 initial shots and then of course the "Hasse shot" with the great sign "Liquor" in the background. So good to found that shot!
Have a great upcoming week!

Helt underbart, där hade jag gärna varit med, fina bilder, inte illa med Albert Kings son. Underbart att det fortfarande finns såna musikställen som lever, må gott, LO
