En gammal bekant har åter kommit in i livet, sliten ärrad veteran men vacker som en gammal fåraherde. och lika seglivad.
Helt manuell vilket bidrar till ett mer avslappnat och eftertänksamt sätt att fota, inga menysystem ingen monitor som pockar på uppmärksamhet, inga histogram inga millioner AF punkter, endast den egna erfarenheten sätts på prov

MINUS: Vikten, det långsamma handhavandet. Dålig blixtsynk (90).
Jag var ägare till en F2a för 15 år sedan och älskade den kameran. Jag hade även den stora motorn till den. Det blev många kilo att bära på. När jag monterade min Metz 45 stavblix på så blev den knappt släpbar, men det såg ganska häftigt ut. I motorn gick det 10 AA baterier och i blixten var det 5 AA, så det var som att släpa omkring på ett bilbateri. Motorn lät åxå som en gräsklipare. men ibland var handtaget ganska bra stöd. Men på resor så monterade man av allt skrot och då blev den hanterbar. Jag bytte bort den mot en FA som jag har kvar än idag. Men F2:an är helt klart en klasiker.
Liknande produkter: Det var en jobbarkompis som var i en ekonomisk kris som jag gjorde en bra affär med.

MINUS: Långsam att jobba med, p g a manuell inställning av tid och bländare. Tung. Med motor handlar det snarast om att lyfta skrot.
Proffskamera från 70-talet. Just denna modell tillverkades 1977-80. Perfekt kamera för kugghjulsromantiker. Uppbyggd av 1600 delar. Ersättaren Nikon F3 som har fler finesser har 600 delar mindre och blev därmed givetvis billigare att montera.
Jag köpte F2:an för att jag ville ha en mekanisk kamera med högsta tänkbara kvalité, som skulle hålla i 20 år, utan att krångla. Den har också visat att den verkligen är en kvalitetskamera.
F2:an ligger bra i handen, men avtrycket är en smula hårt. Mitt ex har behövt service några gånger, då visarnålen till exponeringsmätaren fladdrat. (Beror på helt naturlig oxidering.)
F2:ans motor skulle jag knappast vilja ha om jag så blev erbjuden den gratis. Då fördrar hellre att släpa på ett objektiv extra.
Två egenheter med F2:an är dels att prismat går att byta ut mot andra typer av sökare, t ex ljusschakt. (Utan ljusmätare). Dels att blixten monteras vid sidan om sökaren, ovanför återspolningsveven. Adapter krävs om du inte har en specialblixt.
