Om två litiumceller parallellkopplas så kommer den mest laddade, (högst volt) att utjämna sin volt till den lägre laddade cellen, strömmen flödar över till den andre, det tar bara några sekunder och ska inte vara några problem så länge det inte skiljer mer än 0,5 Volt.
Det går inge bra att ladda NiMh parallellt:

men det går att urladda dem parallellt.det finns inga sådana restriktioner på Li-Ion.
