The first digital SLR system based on the Four Thirds standard delivers the quality, control and flexibility demanded by professional photographers. The initial offering of interchangeable lenses will range from macro, to tele and zoom lenses. All have been developed and manufactured by Olympus especially for Four Thirds format. As a result they do not just assure outstanding quality, but are also exceptionally bright and compact.
The lenses:
300mm, f2.8 (600mm*)
14 - 54mm, f2.8 - f3.5 zoom (28 - 108mm*)
50mm, f2.0 macro (100mm*)
50 - 200mm, f2.8 - f3.5 zoom (100 - 400mm*)
* equivalent to 35mm film camera:
Thanks to the camera’s magnesium alloy body, the professional has a tool that’s built for use in the field and on other rugged assignments. The controls have been positioned for intuitive operation and, naturally, allow manual and automatic adjustment of the camera’s settings. Flash connection is supported via a dedicated hot-shoe.
Among the accessories available is a power battery holder that enables firm and secure holding even when shooting in portrait format.
