I got this piece of info from Pentaxforums.com, since I use both Sony and Pentax. According to this magazine, http://www.fotomagazin.de/, the A700 with the 70-200G came out to be the best in AF.C speed and accuracy compared to the Canon 40D, 1D, 1Ds, Nikon D300, D3, D80, Oly E3, and Pentax K20D. Cost-wise, the Sony came out to be among the pricier crop camera+lens combo.
After reading this, I think it's easier for me to get this zoom rather than the Pentax DA* 50-135 (almost a third the price of the G zoom). I just wonder if anyone can report the low light AF performance of this combo. I would appreciate it.
